Emergency Services
Because problems do not always arise during normal working hours, FMRS is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and three hundred sixty-five days a year. When an individual's emotional, behavioral or substance abuse problem builds to a crisis level, intervention and/or stabilization services can help. Crisis assessment is provided with services recommended on the basis of the least invasive treatment setting. FMRS staff are knowledgeable of available mental health resources and are able to recommend an appropriate treatment disposition; be it referral for outpatient care, short-term crisis stabilization, or hospital-based inpatient psychiatric treatment. FMRS also offers community crisis response services designed to meet the psychological and emotional needs of individuals affected by traumatic or catastrophic events.
