Peer Recovery Coach


FMRS Health Systems, Inc. has one full-time position located in Raleigh Co. to work as a Peer Recovery Coach with individuals who have a Substance Use Disorder.  Peer Recovery Coaches initiate and sustain individuals in recovery and promote individuals’ recovery by acting as a guide/mentor for overcoming personal and environmental obstacles that jeopardize their recovery. They also help individuals discover, access and utilize ways to remain drug and alcohol free or reduce the harm associated with their substance use behaviors; find resources for harm reduction, detoxification, treatment, family support and education, and local or online support groups; and create a change plan for their recovery.

 Duties and responsibilities include:

·   Assisting in the development of an individual recovery action plan.
·   Facilitating peer support groups.
·   Assisting in navigating community resources.
·   Educating and supporting individuals in creating a plan for their recovery.


  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Must have personal knowledge and experience in substance use disorders and recovery (minimum 2 years).

  • Must Possess Valid WV Driver’s License

  • Access to a Reliable Vehicle

  • Certification for Peer Recovery Coach required within 1 year

LEAD Service Coordinator


FMRS Health Systems, Inc. has one full-time position located in Beckley, WV to serve as a liaison between local law enforcement and clinical treatment services for the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) program. This Coordinator will be responsible for communication with the law enforcement to ensure that services are being provided to the appropriate individuals.  This program works with individuals with Substance Use Disorders and involves diverting individuals who have been charged with small crimes into treatment. We are seeking someone who is self-motivated, dependable, able to communicate with other professionals and consumers in a respectful and positive manner, able to work a flexible schedule, and to maintain documentation for reporting.


·         Bachelor’s Degree in social work, sociology, psychology or other human service related field.
·         Possess a valid WV driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
·         Applicant must be able to clear all background checks
·         Not required, but preferred: Experience or certification in the treatment of substance use disorders

Temporary Maintenance Worker


Brief Summary of Job:

·         Perform skilled building maintenance, repairs & maintains plumbing, physical structures, minor electrical wiring & fixtures using appropriate tools & equipment, landscaping and snow removal.
·         Replaces fixtures & bulbs; repairs or replaces brick & plaster, repairs or replaces cement sidewalks, porches, decks, walls, floors, ceilings; repairs & replaces plumbing fixtures & opens clogged drains.
·         Repairs various types of furniture, doors, windows, flows, lockers, gates, roofs, ceilings, & buildings. Digs ditches, trenches, and post holes; patches and repairs sidewalks and streets.
·         Analyzes & evaluates situations & uses independent judgement & initiative in taking effective action; operates various electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and construction tools. 

 Education and Experience Required:

·         High school graduate or equivalent.
·         Valid WV Driver’s License
·         Thorough knowledge of and ability to operate hand & power tools, methods & practices involved in building, maintenance & repair including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, & painting. Ability to operate compactors, dump truck, tractor and excavating equipment. Documented construction and/or carpentry experience.
·         Sufficient physical strength to work as Maintenance Worker.

Outpatient Therapist


Seeking therapists to join our team in Raleigh County.  They will provide individual and/or group therapy on an outpatient basis using evidence-based approaches.  Also, provides initial clinical evaluations and reassessments to determine diagnostic impressions and make appropriate treatment recommendations.  The therapist(s) works with a multi-disciplinary treatment team to develop and implement the treatment plan and/or treatment strategy. These positions will serve consumers with substance use or co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders


 Formal Education, Certification/Licensure, & Other Requirements

 ·         Must have a Master’s Degree in a human services related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning;
·         Prefer license and/or engaged in licensing process;
·         Prefer Certification as an Addictions Counselor in the State of West Virginia; and
·         Must be able to pass all required background checks.

Residential Instructor


We are looking for individuals to provide direct care services in treatment facilities and community settings for individuals with behavioral health and substance abuse conditions in the Beckley area. Full and part-time opportunities.
